Ashe is one of the most immobile champions in the game. She has no dash, no blink, and no escape beyond Flash, so the entire plan is to slow you down and kite from a safe distance. That works beautifully against anyone who has to walk at her, but it falls apart against threats she cannot slow her way out of. Her Volley and her Enchanted Crystal Arrow are skillshots, so a missed arrow leaves her with nothing but a slow and a prayer, and a hard dive that gets on top of her usually ends her before she can reposition. To beat Ashe, bring burst that deletes her before she kites, mobility that ignores her slows, or a lane that simply out trades her weak early damage. When you pick Ashe, you are accepting that she is fragile and rooted to the floor, so you want a support who can peel and protect that fragile back line.
