Zilean is all utility and no body. He has no dash, no escape, and no tether to keep anyone at bay, so the squishy time mage is one of the easiest supports in the game to jump on. His lockdown is real but slow to set up: he has to land Time Bomb and then stack a second bomb on the same target to get the stun, and Rewind is the only way to do it quickly, which drains his mana. Beat him by closing the gap before he can layer his bombs, by burning him down faster than he can react, or by out ranging his poke so he can never get comfortable. The one trap to respect is Chronoshift, his revive: do not blow everything on a target that is about to pop back up, and try to bait it before you commit the kill. When you pick Zilean, you are accepting that hard engage and long range poke will punish how immobile and fragile you are.
