Tristana lives and dies by her Rocket Jump. It is her only dash, and once she uses it to engage she is committed until it comes back or she earns a reset, so catching her mid jump or after a whiffed dive is how she dies. She is also fairly weak in the very early levels before her range and her bomb come online, which leaves a window to bully her off the wave. To beat Tristana, punish her the moment she leaps in: lock her down with crowd control before she can reposition, out sustain her bomb burst, or simply out range and kite a champion who has to walk into you.
