Nasus has one glaring weakness baked into his whole plan: he is incredibly weak and slow before he stacks up. He has no dash and no gap closer, so for the first several levels he is a sitting duck who needs to last hit with Siphoning Strike to grow, and anyone who can deny those stacks starves his entire game. His main tool is Wither, a point and click slow, which is fantastic against attack speed reliant champions but does far less against tanks and casters who do not need to chase or auto attack to hurt him. To beat Nasus, bully him off the wave early, out sustain his lane, or out scale him with your own health stacking and true damage so his late game monster never overtakes you. When you pick Nasus, you are accepting a rough, passive early game and betting that you reach the point where your Q ends people in one hit.
