Mel hits hard from range, but she is one of the most immobile champions you can pick. She has no dash and no escape beyond Flash, so once an enemy is on top of her she has to rely on the Soul Mirror reflect and her Solar Snare root to survive, and both have to be used at the right instant. Soul Mirror only answers projectiles and damage during a short window, so anything that locks her down with a point and click or area stun walks straight past it. To beat Mel, bring hard crowd control she cannot reflect, out range or out sustain her poke, or simply out scale her so her chip damage stops mattering.
