Janna is the best disengage support in the game, but that strength is also her cage. She is paper thin, deals very little damage, and has no way to lock a single target down for a kill, so on her own she is harmless. Her tornado is a slow, chargeable skillshot that is easy to dodge if she fires it early, and her power lives entirely in reacting to what the enemy does rather than forcing anything herself. She has great move speed from her passive and her Zephyr, but no dash and no escape beyond Flash, so committed point and click crowd control sticks to her. To beat Janna, bring reliable lockdown she cannot blow away, or simply out range and out scale her poke so she never gets to do her job. When you pick her, you are betting your whole game on protecting a carry, so you struggle against lanes that ignore your peel and just grind you down.
