Hwei has answers for almost everything, but he is one of the most immobile champions in the game. No dash, no blink, no escape past Flash, so the moment something reliable gets on top of him he is in serious trouble. His damage and his control all come from skillshots and delayed zones, which means a target that can dodge, that out ranges him, or that simply forces him to react instead of set up shuts down his combo. His crowd control is real but slow to land: his fear, his slow, and his Spiraling Despair root all have wind up, so a champion that punishes that wind up window hurts him. To beat Hwei, bring mobility that closes the gap and dodges his lines, or out range him so he can never poke first, and make him use his palettes defensively instead of for damage. When you pick Hwei, you are accepting a glass cannon with a high skill floor, so respect anyone who can dash onto you or sit just outside your reach.
