Gragas is slippery and tanky, but he is not the unstoppable monster his ult makes him look like. Drunken Rage costs mana to channel and his poke can run him dry, and outside of Barrel Roll his real damage and his crowd control both ask him to walk into range. Body Slam is his only escape, and once he throws it to engage or to peel, he is stuck in the brawl with no second dash. To beat Gragas, bring a champion who can win the extended melee fight after his burst is on cooldown, who out sustains his poke, or who can shut off his abilities entirely. The hardest matchups for him are durable bruisers who simply out trade him once he has used Body Slam and have the tools to stick to him.
