Aurelion Sol is one of the slowest scaling champions in the game, and that is the whole opening. Early on he is squishy, his Stardust is barely stacked, and his Breath of Light beam does very little, so the way to beat him is to punish him hard before he ever comes online. His damage lives on a beam he has to keep glued to you and a Singularity black hole that pulls and slows over time, so anything that can dodge, dash, or simply not stand in the zone starves him. He has Astral Flight for escape, but no reliable hard crowd control to peel an assassin who is already on top of him. Mobile divers who can stick to him through the slow, and burst mages who out range and out trade his weak early game, give him nightmares.
